Skincare 101: What is AHA BHA PHA?

AHA BHA and PHA are the 3 types of hydroxy acids that can be found or sourced from nature. AHA means Alpha Hydroxy Acid, BHA is Beta Hydroxy Acid and PHA is Poly Hydroxy Acid.

Hydroxy Acids are mainly used for exfoliation, which means it removes the dead skin cells and sebum from the surface of the skin. You may be wondering now why these 3 types of hydroxy acids are always together. The answer is they tackle specific skin problems.
